Let Us Please Take A Moment Of Silence In Remembrance Of Josephine “Jody” Mills, The Beloved Wife Of Our Past Bristol Township Police Chief Thomas Mills.
Mark Adam Shreck Was Born June 9, 1983. He Would Have Graduated Harry S Truman High School In June Of 2002. On October 7, 1999 Mark Was Tragically Taken From Us. On A Beautiful Fall Day Mark Was Hit And Killed By A Drunk Driver Who Was Also High On Cocaine. In His Honor, I Would Like The Residents Of Bristol Township To Remember All Of The Families Who Have Lost A Loved One To Drunk Or “High” Drivers, And To Mark, You Are Forever In Our Hearts.
Let Us Also Remember Bristol Township Police Officer Mark Buzby And Officer Mike Egan In Our Prayers.
Pow/Mia Recognition Day Is Tomorrow, Friday September 16th. There Will Be A Candlelight Vigil At 7:00 Pm At The Vietnam Vets Memorial Located In Front Of The Bristol Township Municipal Building. Dv3 Welcomes All To Attend.

Fire Prevention Week Is October 9th Through The 15th. On Behalf Of Council And Myself I Would Like To Thank All Our Emergency Personel Volunteers And Their Families For The Sacrifices They Make All Year Long To Protect The Residents Of Bristol Township. I Would Also Like To Thank The Fire Companies For Providing Open House Participation For Fire Prevention Week. We Congratulate You On Your Support And Providing Information And Demonstrations To The Residents Of Bristol Township.
Per The Mayor’s Request And Council’s Approval, The Petition Requesting State Representatives Anthony Melio And Thomas Corrigan; And State Senator Tommy Tomlinson To Introduce Legistation That Directs The State Parole Board To Create A Program Using Satellite Based Tracking To Monitor Sexually Violent Predators Have Begun Circulating. We Have Forwarded 750 Signatures So Far. We Are Now Waiting For A Bill To Be Introduced.
I Would Like The Propose Ordinance Of The Bristol Township Council Establishing Sex Offender Residency Requirements And Penalties And Procedures To Be Introduced On The State Level By State Representatives Melio And Corrigna And Senator Tomlinson.
I Spoke To The Chief And In October We Will Again Be Having Two Gang Awearness Classes For The High School And Its Administrative Staff, And Include Local Law Inforcement, Weed And Seed Members, School Board Members, Council Members And Supervisors From The Surrounding Municipalities In Accordance With Our District Attorney’s Office. The New Jersey Special Investigation Divison Of Corrections Will Teach The Classes.
RECREATION:
Bristol Township’s Harvest/Halloween Festival Here At The Municipal Complex Will Be Held On Saturday, October 22nd From 9:00am To 3:00pm. This Event Is For Children And Adults Of All Ages. Don’t Forget To Wear Your Costume. Come Out And Celebrate The Harvest Season!
On Saturday November 19th Bristol Township Will Be Holding Its Annual Thanksgiving/Holiday Parade. Anyone Wishing To Participate Or Contribute May Contact 215-785-0500.
I Would Like To Take This Opportunity To Thank Senator “Tommy” Tomlinson For His Support Of Bristol Township. He Is Responsible For The Grant Of $250,000 As Our 25% Match Of County Funding Which Enabled Us To Spend Over $1,000,000 (One Million) To Purchase Open Space. He Is Also Responsible For Another $150,000 Which Enabled Us To Begin To Rehibilitate The Old Coats Ave. School Building Into A Recreation Center. I Have Been Told By His Staff That The Funding For The Bristol Township/Pennsylvania War Dog Memorial For $60,000 Has Been Approved, The Committee Is Now Waiting For The Paperwork To Come In.
I Am Requesting Council’s Approval To Place A Sign Out Front Of The Municipal Building To Resemble The One At The Tech School. I Would Like To Pay For The Sign Out Of The Recreation Fund At A Cost Not To Exceed $10,000.

I Would Like To Bring To The Attention Of Council The Security Of Our Parks. We Have Had Young Adults Destroying Play Equipment, Acting Out, Drinking And Vandalizing Neighbors Properties. I Am Asking Council Approval To Fund Additional Security Paid Through The Recreation Donation Fund. Not To Exceed $10,000 And This Would Be Purchased Through The Police Department.

MINOT AVENUE DRANIGE STUDY:
I Have Spoken With Bucks County Commissioner Jim Calley Regarding The Drainage Problems On Minot Avenue. If The Resident Concerns Can Not Be Addressed By The Current Project, An Alternative Would Be To Work With Residents To Volutarity Buy The Homes. Commissioner Cawley Indicated He Would Work With Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick, Senator Tomlinson, Representative Melio And Myself On This Matter.
