Bristol Township Recreation Schedule of Events - 2008
Summer Camp
Date: June 30, 2008 – August 22, 2008
Times: Drop off time will be 8:00am – 8:30 am
Pick up time will be 3:00pm - 3:30pm
*Children will attend field trips once a week, swimming trips, participate in sporting events, arts and crafts activities, field day, end of year performance, end of year picnic, and much more!

March 10, 2008 - Applications Accepted for Summer Camp Employees
Deadline for Application -will be April 30
March 15, 2008 - Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Easter Egg Hunt
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be held at the James J A Gallagher Center.
Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Bristol Township Municipal Building.
Festivities begin at 12 noon and end at 2 pm. Photos will be taken with the Easter Bunny for a fee of $2.00.
March 30, 2008 - Free Family Movie Night to Welcome Spring
We will hold our first annual movie to Welcome Spring outside of the Municipal Building. Everyone is
welcome to come! Please bring a blanket to sit on. Popcorn will be served, while supplies last. In the event
of inclement weather the movie will be played in the James J A Gallagher Center.
May 10, 2008 - Registration for Summer Camp and Basketball League
Registration will be held at the Bristol Township Municipal Building. Registration will be held 10 am - 2 pm
*All Bristol Township Children Ages 6-14 years old may participate in the camp.
The cost of camp will be $350.00 per child (this will NOT include fees for trip).
Date of camp is scheduled for June 30 -August 22
Times for camp are tentatively set for 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Please bring proof of residency (phone bill, electric bill etc.), child's birth certificate, and fee for camp.
Camp is limited to 150 children.
*Any child ages 7-14 years old may participate in the summer basketball league.
The league will begin July 7 and end August 15 .
The fee for this league will be $40.00.
June 30, 2008 - August 22, 2008 - Summer Camp
Location for camp is tentatively set for Emerson Elementary School
Camp Picnic is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2007 at 10 am
End of Year Performance is scheduled for August 22, 2007 at 6 pm
July 7, 2008 - August 15, 2008 - Summer Basketball League
Location is tentatively set for Croydon Acres.
Ages for the basketball league are 7-14 years old. Games are scheduled for
Tuesday and Thursday evening.
September 9-13, 2008 - Bristol Township Carnival
Carnival to be held on the grounds of the James J A Gallagher Center, 2501 Bath Road, Bristol, PA 19007
Dates and Specials will be advertised
October 24, 2008 - Harvest Festival
Festival will be held outside and inside of The James J A Gallagher Center,
2501 Bath Road, Bristol, PA 19007. Festivities will be held 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Festivities will include pumpkin painting, Halloween Costume Contest and Parade, Halloween bags full of
candy (while supplies last), Appearances from Spiderman and Elmo, games, and much more.
November 22, 2008 - Mayor's Holiday Parade
Line up will be at 11 am and step off will be at 12 o'clock noon.
Parade route to begin at James Buchanan Elementary School, Haines Road, towards Mill Creek Parkway
and ending at Harry S Truman High School.
December 4, 2008 - Christmas Tree Lighting
The tree lighting will be held in front of the Municipal Building at 7:00 pm. Cookies and hot chocolate will
be served, after the ceremony, at the James J A Gallagher Center.
