Mayor Fenton Report
April 3, 2008

Appointments:

Re Appoint Kathy Geissell to the Bristol Township Planning Commission. Her term will begin immediately and expire March 31, 2012.

Approved 5-0

Mark Brittom – Director of Water and Sewer Departments

Mr. Britton received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from Penn State University. Mr. Britton has worked in a variety of companies dealing with waste water treatment. Most recently he has worked with the firm of Buchart Horn based in York Pa. In addition he has operated his own consulting engineering business and has been an instructor for the Pa. Department of Environmental Protection teaching courses in waste water treatment plant operations.

Approved 4-0

Non-residential property tax

The current non residential tax is $2.00 per square foot, assessed for new, non residential buildings. This money is not money that comes directly from the residential tax payers. I am proposing to Council to adopt a revised resolution. The new resolution would change the funds that the current tax monies are allocated into. The funds that I propose the money to go into include the Recreation Capital Fund, the General Fund, the Curbs and Sidewalk Fund and the General Capital Budget Fund.

Tabled 5-0

Radcliffe Street

The annual Easter Egg Hunt was held March 15th, about 250 children came out to participate in this event. I would like to thank the public works department, volunteers and the Easter Bunny for making this event successful.
