Obtaining a Police Report

The Records Division handles all requests for police reports.  Requests for accident reports can be made in person or by U.S. Mail.  Requests for incident reports must be made in person.

All requests are governed by federal guidelines outlined in the Privacy Act.  Incident report requests must be made in person, and proper identification is needed in order to disseminate certain information.

The following information is necessary to identify the requested report:

• Report Number (if available)
• Parties involved
• Location of Incident or Accident
• Date of Occurrence

Mailed requests for accident reports must be accompanied by a check or money order for $15.00 per accident report, payable to the Township of Bristol, and a stamped, self addressed envelope.
