| Your solid waste/recyclable/yard waste will be collected on your next regularly scheduled collection day. |

| Acceptable Solid Waste - 10 items per pickup |
|
| Garbage(drained), cardboard, rags, metal, ashes, grocery, wood, brush, carpeting. (Carpeting, brush, and scrap wood must be cut down to 2 feet by 4 feet and bundled. Bundles must not exceed fifty (50) pounds in weight.) Solid waste must be placed in water tight containers not to exceed 35 gallon capacity and fifty (50) pounds in weight. Bulky items such as furniture, box springs and mattresses, hot water tanks, washers and dryers may be placed at curbside on the second collection day with a limit of one item per week per household. |

| Unacceptable Collection Items |
|
| Household hazardous wastes such as gasoline, waste oil, paint, varnish, thinner, pesticides, drain cleaner, pool chemicals or bottled gas are unacceptable items. Also, car or truck parts, and building materials resulting from the repair, construction, excavation or demolition of buildings will not be taken. These items shall be removed by and at the expense of the owner of the property or the contractor doing the work. |

| Refrigerators, Freezers, Air Conditioners |
|
| These items and others containing chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's) such as freon must be collected separately. |
| Please call Waste Automation at (215) 788-5555 to schedule a collection date. (Please remove refrigerator door and put it out on your trash day). |

| Recyclable Items |
|
| "Commingled recyclable items" include clear, brown, and green glass, aluminum and bi-metal cans, HDPE(#1) and PETE(#2) plastic containers. Put all of these items in your Bristol Township recycling container. |
|
| "Glass bottles and jars" must be rinsed, labels may remain on, but remove lids. DO NOT BREAK ANY GLASS. Unacceptable items are ceramics, mirrors, window glass, light bulbs, ovenware and drinking glasses. |
|
| "Metal cans" must be rinsed, labels and lids may stay on. Please flatten or crush cans to save space. No foil or scrap metals. |
|
|
| "Plastic bottles" must be rinsed, labels may stay on. Only soda, milk, water and detergent containers are acceptable at this time. Please remove the lid and flatten all containers to save space. |
|
|
| "Newsprint" must be bundled and tied with twine or put in brown paper bags (NOT PLASTIC BAGS). Everything that comes with the newspaper along with magazines, catalogs and phone books - up to 1 1/2" thick - can be recycled. |
|
| You may continue to use your existing recycling container. However, if you choose to dispose of an old container, you must mark or label it "TRASH" in order for it to be taken. |
|
| Yard Waste Collection - April 15 Through December 15 |
|
| Once each week, grass, leaves, garden clippings, small branches, etc. will be collected separately from your household trash and taken to a composting facility. Yard waste may be placed in biodegradable 30-gallon Kraft paper bags (NO PLASTIC), loose in regular trash containers or loose in the yard waste container to be supplied by the township. NO MORE THAN FIFTY POUNDS PER CONTAINER. |

Collection Time All items - refuse, recyclables, yard waste - must be placed at the curb no later than 6 A.M. on the day of collection in order to ensure collection on that day.
